How to merge PDF files

Drop two or more PDFs, arrange them in the order you want, and press Merge PDFs. The combined file downloads immediately.

Why merge in the browser?

Limitations

Merging combines whole documents in order. Page-level editing, splitting and compression are separate tools (planned). Very large files depend on your device's memory.

Frequently asked questions

Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?
No. Merging runs entirely in your browser with an open-source library (pdf-lib). Your files never leave your device - you can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.
Is there a daily limit or file count limit?
There is no usage cap from us. Very large files depend on your device memory, since the merged PDF is built locally.
Can I reorder the files before merging?
Yes. Use the up and down arrows next to each file; pages appear in the final PDF in the listed order.
Will password-protected PDFs work?
Encrypted PDFs that require a password to open cannot be merged. Remove the password first, then merge.
